TOULOUSE, France (AP) — Toulouse manager Carles Martínez Norvel will leave the French club at the end of the Ligue 1 season.
Toulouse announced the decision on Wednesday, with the team sitting 10th in the table with three games remaining. The Spanish coach coached the team for three seasons.
He initially arrived at Toulouse as an assistant coach, winning the French Cup in 2023, and was appointed coach the following season.
Martínez Nobel led Toulouse to one of their biggest victories in November 2023, when the southern team defeated Liverpool 3-2 in a Europa League match.
“I would also like to thank our supporters for their continued support and the city for their warm welcome from day one,” he said. “I leave with great memories that will stay with me forever. Please stand up. Always.”
The club did not immediately announce a replacement.
