SANDY, Utah (AP) — With Rodrigo De Paul Luis Suarez scores less than 2 minutes apart Dane St. Clair kept his second clean sheet of the season as Inter Miami defeated Real Salt Lake 2-0 on Wednesday night.
It was the fastest two goals in club history at 1 minute 54 seconds.
In the 82nd minute, De Paul fired a shot into the top right corner of the goal after receiving a short corner from Telasco Segovia.
Suarez, who came on in the 75th minute, scored his second goal of the season with a left-footed volley past goalkeeper Rafael Cabral.
Miami (5-1-3) is undefeated in its last eight regular season games and sits in second place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Salt Lake (5-1-2) ended a six-game unbeaten streak. RSL had won their last two games by multiple goals.
The only other meeting between the two teams was the 2024 season opener, with Miami winning 2-0 at home.
