MILAN (AP) — Inter Milan’s quest to win Italy’s league and cup titles is still alive and well.
of Serie A In the second leg of the Italian Cup semi-final on Tuesday, the leaders came back from two points behind to win against Como 3-2.
Hakan Calhanoglu scored twice and Petar Susic scored the winning goal in the 89th minute, after Martin Baturina and Como captain Lucas da Cunha scored on either side of half-time.
The first leg ended 0-0.
Atalanta host Lazio in the other semi-final on Wednesday after drawing 2-2 in the first leg.
The finals are scheduled for May 13th.
Meanwhile, Inter could win the Serie A title as early as this weekend.
The last time Inter won both titles was in 2010, when they won the treble under Jose Mourinho, which also included the Champions League trophy.
Inter’s first-year coach, Cristian Chivu, played on the 2010 team.
Calhanoglu sparked a counterattack with a powerful long-range shot, and equalized with a header in the 86th minute. Three minutes later, Sučić exchanged passes with Calhanoglu in a crowded area and scored the goal.
Inter won the last of their nine Italian Cup titles in 2023.
Nine days ago, Inter came back from two points behind to win 4-3 against Como in Serie A.
