Sky Sports’ football broadcasts have been hit by technical issues, affecting Championship matches.
Sky Sports was forced to apologize after technical problems affected its coverage of the Championship on Saturday afternoon. “We are experiencing technical issues across our football broadcasts today, impacting our advertising coverage,” the broadcaster said on social media.
The games affected are Portsmouth v Leicester City, Derby County v Oxford United and Millwall v QPR. League One and League Two matches will continue to be available on Sky Sports and the Sky Sports app.
The broadcaster was scheduled to show an important match from the second tier and lower leagues today, but the channel was changed due to technical problems. In response, several fans made their feelings known on social media.

It will be an important match for Leicester, who will play away to Portsmouth in their bid to remain in the division. However, they have not won in their last five league games and currently sit with a four-point difference.
As for Paul Warne’s derby, a win would see him move into seventh place, close to the play-offs.
However, Wrexham would still need a point against Stoke City to drop a point, as a win would move them up in the table.

Second-placed Millwall will be looking to strengthen their position in the top three ahead of Sunday’s game against Ipswich Town and Middlesbrough.
Leaders Coventry City secured promotion to the Premier League for the first time in 25 years following a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers.
An emotional Lampard told Sky Sports after the game: “It was an unbelievable moment. I’m sure he was worried because of the way the game went.”
“We knew we were so close to reaching the goal, but it’s amazing that this club was able to cross the line in this way after 25 years. We’re thrilled to have won automatic promotion as a non-parachute team with three games left.”
