CHealthy will play the FA Cup quarter-finals tomorrow without Enzo Fernandes, who has been suspended by the club. Coach Liam Rosenior mentioned this fact in his preview of the match. “I spoke to Enzo an hour ago. As a club and I am involved in the decision, he will not be available for tomorrow’s game or the Manchester City game. We have crossed a line in terms of the culture and what we want to build.”
The Argentine player expressed his desire to live in Madrid in a podcast, but things did not work out with the London club. “The players were motivated because they believed they could do something special in the Champions League. Enzo’s comments and Marc Cucurella’s interview came from that. In fact, they come from a good desire for the club to succeed, but in moments like this we need more mental stability as a group.”
Chelsea have not yet had their best moments, having been eliminated from the Champions League by PSG. “It’s not an ideal situation. It’s all about about 10 days that were difficult in terms of results. Probably the most difficult for me as a player and as a coach. I remember the first game against Paris Saint-Germain. After 15 minutes everything fell apart and there was a big emotional drop, which dragged on into the next three games.”
