Cole Palmer is reportedly dissatisfied with Chelsea and intends to consider a summer move to Manchester United. The former Manchester City star has been linked with the Red Devils on a provisional basis since the start of the 2025/26 season. He has scored nine goals in 20 Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season after missing the majority of the season due to injury.
It was reported earlier this year that Palmer was tired of living in London and wanted to return to his hometown of Manchester. Now, according to The Sun, the 23-year-old is “ready to leave” Stamford Bridge this summer, with several clubs monitoring his situation before joining United. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also thought to be keen on signing Palmer.
Palmer is said to be unhappy with the change in Chelsea’s tactics under Liam Rosenior, who was appointed to replace Enzo Maresca in January.
It is claimed that they feel the current system does not give them space on the pitch and limits their influence in litigation.
Palmer also misses playing with Nicholas Jackson, who joined Bayern Munich in the summer after failing to impress Maresca.
Jackson’s pace, movement and skill complemented the playing style of Palmer, who had 18 goals and 14 assists last season.
The paper adds that Chelsea value the player at around £150m, which is the amount United would have to pay to sign him this summer.
The West London outfit currently sit sixth in the Premier League and missing out on Champions League qualification would further diminish their hopes of convincing Palmer to stay.

He is thought to be frustrated but is not expected to drop his tools as the Blues aim for a top-five finish between now and the end of the season.
Chelsea consider Palmer “untouchable” and will not be under any financial pressure to sell him as he is locked up until 2033.
However, keeping a disgruntled player in the locker room is rarely a wise move, and it remains to be seen how the situation will develop in the coming months.
Palmer is reported to be open to joining United, but the Red Devils are said to be prioritizing midfield and left wing signings in the summer.
Jason Wilcox, the club’s director of football, was City’s head of academy during Palmer’s rise to prominence at the Etihad Stadium.
Wilcox will play a key role in overseeing United’s transfer business this summer, alongside CEO Omar Berrada, who also worked at City.
