CREMONA, Italy (AP) – Fiorentina defeated fellow Serie A strugglers Cremonese 4-1 on the road in their biggest win of the season on Monday, moving them four points out of the relegation zone.
It was the second time all season that Fiorentina had scored three or more goals in a single game and moved up to 16th place.
This defeat extended Cremonese’s winless record to 14 games, leaving them third from the bottom in the table, four points behind Fiorentina and three points behind Lecce.
Pisa and Verona shared last place.
Fabiano Parisi put Fiorentina ahead after 25 minutes with a stunning solo goal, before Roberto Piccoli converted a perfect pass from Robin Gosens to make it two.
Dodo scored a great solo goal early in the second half to make it 3-0, David Okereke pulled one back for Cremonese nearly an hour in, but Albert Gutmundsson added a fourth for Fiorentina.
