ROME (AP) – Lazio and Atalanta battled for four second-half goals on Wednesday in the first leg of their Italian Cup semifinals, ending in a 2-2 draw.

Lazio took the lead two minutes after the break, with Fisayo Dele-Basil taking the lead after a through ball from former Atalanta midfielder Daniel Maldini.

Atalanta equalized four minutes later with a rebound from Mario Pašalic.

In the 87th minute, Bourai Dia took advantage of a defensive error by Pašarić and quickly scored from the center of the area. Then, in the 90th minute, American international Yunus Musa equalized again for Atalanta.

Como and Inter Milan drew 0-0 In the other semifinal on Tuesday.

The second leg is scheduled for April 21-22, with the final taking place on May 13.

Atalanta have reached the final three times in the past seven seasons, but have won the trophy only once, in 1963. Lazio are seven-time champions, winning their most recent title in 2019 by defeating Atalanta.
