FLORENCE, Italy (AP) – Moise Kean scored in his third consecutive game to help Fiorentina climb out of the Serie A drop zone with a 1-0 win over Pisa on Monday.
The result moved Fiorentina into 16th place, moving them out of the relegation zone for the first time in months. Although they have the same points as Cremonese and Lecce, they have a better goal difference.
Pisa have only won once all season, but are second from bottom on points with last place Verona. With 12 games left, both clubs were on the verge of nine points.
Keane followed up his recent goals against Torino and Como with an early strike from close range after a blocked shot fell at his feet.
Pisa goalkeeper Nicolas made a number of fine saves, while Fiorentina’s back-to-back wins were only their second clean sheet this year.
Pisa are now winless in 15 league games.
