Mac Allister signs a deal that could shock the Premier League: a move that hasn’t happened since 1964!

IIt could be one of those “bomb” signs. According to British media, particularly the Daily Mirror, Liverpool midfielder Mac Allister is on the radar of Manchester United next summer. There are still months until the market opens, but Red Devils bosses are already plotting their next project, especially a major addition like the Argentine footballer.

Manchester United announced a few weeks ago that Casemiro would be leaving the team at the end of the season, so they need to strengthen their midfield for next season.

Mac Allister, 27, is under contract with Liverpool until 2028. The Argentine joins Anfield from Brighton in 2023 in a deal worth $55 million. The significant financial sum that the Reds would now be demanding, coupled with the huge rivalry that exists between both clubs, would undoubtedly make the operation very complex.

Mac Allister’s Premier League numbers 25-26

According to the Daily Express, Manchester United could make a move to cut costs. Specifically, the paper names Koby Mainu, Manuel Ugarte and Monte Mason.

60 years

If Mac Allister’s move to Manchester United goes through, it will be the first such move in over 60 years. Phil Chisnall, who moved from the Reds to Liverpool in 1964, was the last player to transfer directly between the two clubs.
