In the Women’s Champions League play-offs on Thursday, hosts Wolfsburg came from two goals behind to draw 2-2 with Juventus, with Sarai Linder scoring in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
Linder fired a shot from the edge of the area into the top corner of the goal to seal a draw for next week’s second leg in Turin.
Wolfsburg coach Stefan Lerch said: “It feels like we were able to draw at the last minute and get the win.”
Just after the hour mark at the AOK Stadion, Juventus won 2-0. Ana Capeta took the lead in the 6th inning, and Amalie Vansgaard cut the lead to 2 points in the 61st inning.
However, Wolfsburg fought back with 10 minutes left in regulation time.
Janina Mingue sparked the fight back with a goal from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute.
As the clock ticked down, it looked like Juventus would go into the second leg with a slim lead until Linder’s goal.
Wolfsburg’s Reins Behrenstein said: “We played well, but we didn’t create many big chances. In the end we deserved a draw and we still have chances next week.”
