chelsea Forward Jamie Gittens will be out for an extended period with a torn hamstring.
Gittens was injured in last week’s game against West Ham and missed the second leg of the English League Cup. Semi-final vs Arsenal on tuesday.
Coach Liam Rosenior on Thursday did not say when he would recover.
“Unfortunately, it’s a bit more of a long-term outlook for him,” Rosenior said. “He has injured his hamstring, which is really unfortunate for him and will be a big miss for us as well. I haven’t had a chance to work with him for long, but I know his career and how good a player he is, so this is a big loss. It’s too early to say how long he’ll be out.”
Pedro Neto and Reece James will be assessed ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game against Wolverhampton.
Both players missed the game against Arsenal due to a condition known as knock.
The good news for Chelsea is that Cole Palmer and Estevao, who only featured as substitutes against Arsenal, have been confirmed to be available to start against Wolverhampton.
