Dimitri Payet was charged with “physical, moral, psychological and sexual violence” following accusations made by his ex-partner Raissa Ferrari.
The Brazilian, who dated the former Nantes, Saint-Etienne, Lille, Olympique Marseille, West Ham United and Vasco da Gama player, reported in March last year that the 38-year-old midfielder forced her to record a degrading video in January 2025 and even assaulted her.

The Sun newspaper reported that Larissa Ferrari claims that Dimitri Payet, who was married to Ludivine while they were dating, used his power and position to “trap” her into a violent and abusive relationship.

“He tortured me for 12 hours and boasted that he had slept with 300 women,” the British newspaper reported.
The 29-year-old Brazilian lawyer claims Mr Payet controlled her with “mind games”, made her consider suicide, left her covered in bruises after sex and used “punishments” to control her every move.

Payet has also accused his ex-girlfriend of having ties to the mafia, an accusation he strongly denies.

In April 2025, Larissa Ferrari explained the details of the charges against Dimitri Payet to The Sun newspaper, saying: “He is a sick monster. I feared for my life and I still fear. “Payet told me he was the only person I could trust. He then told me he was going to punish me and go to France for 30 days to spend time with his family. He also told me that I would be sexually punished when I returned,” Larissa Ferrari recalled after posting a photo of her with a friend on social media.

When she returned, Larissa said he kicked her, punched her and had violent sex with her. “Within seconds of arriving home, he said, ‘Now your punishment begins.’ But I felt like it was due because he made me believe that punishment was necessary for the relationship to continue. I was vulnerable and I didn’t want him to leave me. I knew he was hurting, but there was nothing I could do about it. I felt like that was the condition for us to be together.”
In January, another soccer player approached her on Instagram. She responded in a friendly manner and also told Payet about it. “He got very angry and started calling me ‘bitch.’ He said he already knew I was a prostitute and needed to prove it with a video that reflected that. At first he seemed happy that I sent him the video he wanted, but then none of my family or friends knew what was going on.
