Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final lineup Final decision on Tuesday Algeria and defending champion Ivory Coast finished last.
Algeria needed a great goal from Adil Bourbina at the end of extra time to beat Congo 1-0, and Ivory Coast beat Burkina Faso 3-0, with Amad Diallo and Yann Diomande scoring and setting up each other’s goals. Bazmana Toure sealed the victory for the Elephants.
The defending champions will face Egypt in Agadir in the quarter-finals on Saturday, after Algeria take on Nigeria in Marrakech.
Mali will face 2021 champions Senegal in the first quarter-final in Tangier on Friday, before hosts Morocco take on five-time champions Cameroon at the 70,000-capacity Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. If they make it this far, the winners will also play the semi-finals and finals on January 18th.
The winner of the quarterfinal match between Morocco and Cameroon will play the winner of Algeria versus Nigeria on January 14th.
The other semi-finals, between the winners of Mali vs. Senegal and Egypt vs. Ivory Coast, will take place on the same day in Tangier.
