LONDON (AP) – Chelsea have announced the return of Liam Delap Estevao When the skyscraper Aston Villa visited Stamford Bridge, premier league Saturday.
It looked like it would be an extended break for Delap as he recovered from the shoulder injury he sustained in the draw with Bournemouth on 6 December.
The return of Estevao, who has not played since coming on as a substitute against Everton on December 13, also strengthens Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca’s options.
“Estevao will be available on Saturday, Liam Delap will be available as well,” Maresca said on Wednesday. “We didn’t know exactly how long (Delap) would have to be out. We’re both very happy.”
Chelsea are fourth in the league, seven points behind third-placed Villa.
Villa defeated Manchester United 2-1 on Sunday. 10 consecutive wins Unai Emery’s side are three points behind leaders Arsenal in all competitions.
