Maresca was previously part of Guardiola’s coaching team at City. He led Leicester to promotion to the Premier League and won the Club World Cup and UEFA Conference League in his first season at Chelsea. They also qualified for the Champions League.
Chelsea currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League, eight points behind first place Arsenal.
The report comes after Maresca claimed last week that he was unhappy with his contract. lack of support He said he had just endured his worst period at Chelsea since joining the club in the summer of 2024.
