Manchester City are still developing and are a little rough around the edges at times. A team that won the Champions League in 2023 and played great football every time they stepped on the field needs that confidence and polish to return.

Phil Foden played a key role in Manchester City’s victory over Leeds United, allowing his team to find a way to win despite the instability they have shown throughout the Premier League season and Champions League.
“Title fights are never simple. There are always ups and downs, periods when things don’t seem to go forward and we’ve been through that too. At the end there was a sense of belief and unity. I hope that was the case today and we can start from here, but you never know what will happen,” Foden said after the match.
The English midfielder has scored 64 Premier League goals in his career, more than City legend Yaya Toure and football icon David Beckham. “I was really hungry to play today and prove that I can still score goals,” Foden said. “We missed some chances against Newcastle so we wanted to put that right.”
