Chelsea won 2-0 at Burnley on Saturday, closing the gap on Premier League leaders Arsenal to three points.
Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandes scored at Turf Moor to move Chelsea into provisional second place.
Arsenal face Tottenham on Sunday, while Manchester City could regain second place by playing Newcastle later on Saturday.
Neto put Chelsea ahead in the 37th minute with a header, his second goal of the game and fourth of the season.
Fernandes sealed the victory in the 88th minute with a low shot from inside the box.
Burnley remained in 17th place, one place above the relegation zone, but depending on their results, they could be dragged into the bottom three.
18th placed West Ham faced Bournemouth, while 19th placed Nottingham Forest faced defending champions Liverpool.
