TORONTO (AP) — Djordje Mihailovic scored two goals to help Toronto FC beat Orlando City 4-2 in the teams’ final regular-season game Saturday night.
Orlando City (14-9-11) will be the No. 9 seed in the Eastern Conference and will play No. 8 Chicago in the wild-card round of the MLS Cup Playoffs on Wednesday.
Mihajlovic had his second multi-goal game of the season for Toronto, which acquired the 26-year-old from Colorado in a trade on Aug. 7.
Jonathan Osorio took the lead in the 7th minute when his first touch from the edge of the area went under the crossbar and hit the inside of the left post.
Mihailovic scored his first goal in the 34th minute with a free kick from outside the area, and his first goal in the 48th minute with a counter attack.
DeAndre Carr’s goal in the 61st minute gave Toronto (6-14-14) a 4-1 lead.
David Brecaro scored in the 54th minute for Orlando, and Duncan McGuire scored in stoppage time.
