Frankfurt, Germany (AP) — Harry Kane is confident he will be with his team for his upcoming matches against Wales and Latvia on Monday after being scared of an injury to Bayern Munich.
The England captain limped from the field after clashing with an opposition goalkeeper on Saturday as Bayern defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 in the Bundesliga in the 81st minute.
However, he was soon leaping on with his teammates to celebrate in front of Bayern away fans.
“No, I’ll be there on Monday,” Kane told broadcaster Sky when asked if the injury could affect his English duties.
“I’m fine. I’ll just contact the bones,” he said. “I had it in one of the games a few weeks ago and it’s just recovering so it hit in the same place. It’s fine for a few days.”
England will host Wales friendly at Wembley on Thursday and will travel to Latvia on October 14th for the World Cup qualifying game.
