MADRID (AP) – Laminated Yamal took less than a minute to affect his return to action after an injury.
Yamal came out of the bench in the second half and set a 59th minute Go-Ard goal for Robert Rwandowski in a 2-1 victory over Real Sociedad in the Spanish league on Sunday.
The Catalan club’s fifth victory in all competitions moved Barcelona to the top of the Spanish league. They were crushed 5-2 by Atletico Madrid Saturday.
Yamal appeared in the match on the 58th, replacing Rooney Bardozi with his first appearance after missing four matches due to embarrassment injuries while playing for the Spanish national team during an international break.
Yamal also rejected the target on the offside on the 74th, almost setting another Lewandowsky goal on the 84th, when the Polish striker was denied by a crossbar.
Before the match, Yamal awarded his fans his Ballon D’Or Award.
Barcelona does not yet have the appropriate permission to return to the renovated Camp Noo Stadium. After playing their first two home matches in the Spanish league at a capacity venue of 6,000 people at the training facility, he returned to the Montjuli stadium.
The club will also host Paris Saint-Germain at Montjuic on Wednesday at the home opener in the Champions League league stage.
Sociedad opened the score on the 31st with a close shot from Alvaro Odriozola, the only attempt at targets in the first half after the breakaway on the 31st. Jules Kaunde was equal for Barcelona and left the header from a corner kick on the 43rd.
The Sociedad Midfielder Takefusa Kubo hit the post in the 72nd and 84th minutes.
Barcelona coach Hansiflic chose to make the debut of 17-year-old Pedro “Doro” Fernandez, who started midfield.
This was Sociedad’s fourth loss in five games. The Basque Country Club won a 1-0 victory over Mallorca in the first victory of the season.
Elchi’s Run
Promoted, Elche endures the dream start of his first season in the top division after two years of absence.
Andre Silva scored on the 18th, and John Chetauya scored on the 68th, giving the host a 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo. Celta’s Borja Iglesias scored on the 22nd.
Elche remains unbeaten with three wins and four draws after seven games. Currently located in the Champions League qualifying location.
Celta has remained one of the league’s unwinning teams to date – along with Girona, who was finally deployed, took five straight league matches to take part in the match against Elche.
Sevilla wins late
Sevilla only needed one shot on target to win a 1-0 victory at Rayo Vallecano in his third victory in five league matches.
Leio controlled most of the games, but after the breakaway, the visitors were on top thanks to an 87-minute winner from within the area.
Rayo’s unwinning streak reached five matches, including two consecutive losses.
