BERLIN (AP) — Danel Sinani scored late on Sunday to maintain an unbeaten start to promoted teams into the Bundesliga season as St. Pauli beat Augsburg 2-1.

The club was already ecstatic after beating City rival Hamburger SV 2-0 in the Derby in a previous game. The players found one side of the stadium with a banner referring to St. Pauli’s colour, saying, “Hamburg is brown white.”

However, Fabian Leader headed Augsburg for the 16th minute lead thanks to Han Noah Masengo’s wonderful cross.

St. Pauli struggled to respond to Cedric Zessiger’s penalty break until just before the punished break for handball in the area. Finn Damen saved Andreas Hantonge’s penalty and only saw Benin pushing the rebound away.

Augsburg had a better chance after the break, but Sinani scored on the 78th with the help of a deflection from the unfortunate Zesiger.

Bremen goal fest in Boniface debut

Victor Bonnifers made his fierce Bremen debut, but it was the others who scored when Horst Steffen’s team recorded a 4-0 victory at Borussia Menchenradbach.

After the proposed move to AC Milan, Boniface joined Bremen from Bayer Leverkusen and began benching for alternatives, and in the 75th minute, Bremen already scored three goals to enter.

Nigeria forwarded fellow substitute Justin Nzinma for the visitor’s fourth goal six minutes later, urging the disappointing Gladbach fans to leave the stadium.

Samuel Mbangla also scored in an in-game performance, setting another goal and scoring a penalty.

It was Bremen’s first league victory of the season, leaving Gladbach with just one point from three games without scoring a goal.

Gio Reyna began her Gladbach debut after the Americans Transfer from Borussia Dortmund.
