MONTREAL (AP) — Conrad Warlem and Marcel Haltel scored each as St. Louis won Montreal’s five-game unbeaten run 2-0 on Saturday night.
St. Louis (6-17-7) is undefeated in the last two games.
Montreal (5-16-9) has scored just 11 points in 16 home games this season.
Warlem scored in the 11th minute from close range. Joanne Klaus’ shot was deflected to Worem’s feet.
Haltel scored in a slot finish in 55th after a beautiful pass from Klaus.
Roman Bürki recorded the fourth clean sheet of the season.
Montreal had a good scoring chance when Prince Oss was left alone in front of the goal late in the first half, but Burki stopped. Newly acquired designated player Ivan Jaime shot from the crossbar in the second half.
