Chelsea was charged on Thursday with 74 British football rules violations.
This fee covers the period from 2009 to 22, and is related to regulations covering soccer agents, and is related to cooperation with intermediaries and involvement of third parties in player transfers.
Chelsea said in a statement that they self-reported potential violations of the English Football Association that were revealed in 2022 when American investors Todd Boley and Clearlake Capital led the consortium. Buy former owner Roma Abramovich.
Chelsea said they noticed “potentially incomplete financial reports” of historic transactions and other “potential violations of the FA regulations.”
“As soon as the purchase was completed, the club self-reported these issues to all relevant regulators, including the FA.”
The FA said this fee is primarily related to the 2010-11-2015-16 season, and is the period during which Chelsea won two Premier League titles and the Champions League.

Fee
Chelsea has been charged with violations of Regulation J1, which prohibits direct or indirect use or payment of unauthorized agents. Another fee is related to the use or payment of an unregistered intermediary.
Rule C2 states that players or certified agents must not “conceal or misrepresent reality and/or substances” regarding issues relating to transactions or contract negotiations.
Another claim relates to payments, rights, or liabilities related to third parties involved in the transfer of the player.
“The club demonstrated unprecedented transparency during this process, including providing comprehensive access to club files and historical data,” Chelsea said. “We will work together with the FA to conclude this issue as quickly as possible.”
Chelsea will need to respond to billing until September 19th.
