Nion, Switzerland (AP) – Last week, it fined Romanian and Greek football clubs for offensive behavior by fans, closing the stadium section for its next home game at the European tournament.
FCSB, a club once known as the Steawa Burachs, was charged with “racist and/or discriminatory behaviour” in a chant in the Europa League qualifying playoffs with Aberdeen.
UEFA said it fined the club 30,000 euros ($35,000) and ordered several sections of Bucharest’s National Stadium, which was closed for a match against the young boy on October 2.
Aek Athens fans exhibited an expletives banner aimed at Anderlecht fans in the Conference League qualifying playoff game.
UEFA will fine up to 56,000 euros ($65,000) and close most of one end of AEK’s stadium when Aberdeen visits on October 23rd.
