TORONTO (AP) – Jonathan Osorio won Toronto FC in the 89th minute in a 1-1 tie against CF Montreal on Saturday night.
Montreal (5-13-9) was undefeated in five consecutive games and was eliminated from playoff competition.
Toronto (5-13-10) is undefeated with a season-high four straights.
Jules Anthony Billsang’s shot was paralyzed by goalkeeper Thomas Gillier, but Osorio hit a rebound to keep the score down.
Vilsaint had a stop time and a shot that hit the left post at that moment.
Dante Sealy scored on the 84th as he headed for a free kick played by Bryce Duke from just outside the penalty box.
Sean Johnson stopped the Toronto shot.
The 21-year-old Gillie was loaned out from Italy’s Serie A Club Bologna FC on July 8th, and started for the fourth consecutive time in Montreal, finishing with four saves.
Montreal midfielders Matty Longstaff and Bilsan played their former teams on BMO Field for the first time since a deal between clubs on August 13th.
Toronto defeated Montreal 6-1 On May 17, he defeated his rival 5-1.
