BERLIN (AP) – Harry Kane scored a hat-trick as Bayern Munich began defending the Bundesliga title on Friday by dismantling Leipzig 6-0.
The Bayern powers ruled, except for the 15-minute spell after halftime, when Antonion Nusa approached for the visitors.
Also, Nusa, who ruled out the goal, only had to rile more goals from two-gained Michael Ollies and Kane, backed by Luis Diaz, who scored two goals and set two in his Bundesliga debut.
“We wanted to make a statement, and that’s exactly what we did,” Kane told Sky TV. “Leipzig is on the good side, but I enjoy this because I was on top of all fields today and was clinical when I needed it.”
Olize broke the deadlock in the 27th minute, and Diaz once again celebrated the home fans when he lived the ball under the crossbar after a move that had done work involving Kane and Serge Gunavry five minutes later. Gnabry laid the ball for Diaz on his heels.
Oris scored his second goal two minutes later, facilitated by Gunaburi, who eased two Leipzig defenders to set up a French winger. Oris played in Bayern’s central role for Jamal Absence due to Musiala’s injuries.
Leipzig improved after the break. After a tough halftime talk from new coach Ole Werner, it improved without a doubt. Werner is one of six coaches who will be making their Bundesliga debuts with their new club this weekend.
However, Kane must have felt that he had been ruled out before, but he took Bayern fourth place on the 64th, and after the defender flew through the defenders and took a pass from the defenders, he pushed the ball past Glaxi on a goal from Leipzig.
Bayern coach Vincent Company made four changes at a time on the 68th, but Leipzig had no rest.
Kane scored his second goal on the 74th – again set by Diaz – and the England captain completed the first hat trick of the season four minutes later.
Kane also paid tribute to fellow goalscorers.
“I’ve just spent a year with Michael and it feels like the relationship is getting stronger and stronger,” Kane said. “In the first half he was an outstanding goal, a goal scored. And although Lucho has only been in a few weeks, we feel we have a connection right away. He has some assists for me today.
