LONDON (AP) – Chelsea duo Nicholas Jackson and Christopher Nukank will not be involved in Friday’s Premier League match at West Ham as the club tries to offload the striker on the last day of the Transfer Window.
It appears that Jackson and Nkank are favoured by manager Enzo Maresca, as Chelsea have signed two new centre forwards to Joan Pedro and Liam Dellup.
Jackson is available after offering a 0-0 draw stop with Crystal Palace on Sunday in the opening round of the Premier League. “But he’s not going to be part of the team,” Maresca said.
Maresca said the same situation applies to French forward Nkunku, who took part in the six-year contract in 2023 but who had limited game times. Senegalese striker Jackson’s contract with Chelsea is until 2033.
Mareska said Ben Chilwell and Winger Raheem Sterling have been training away from the main team and are “waiting for some solution” in the transfer market.
