However, Slot refused to discuss potential deals at another centre in Mark Guech, England International, and said any comments from his club, Crystal Palace, are necessary.
The 18-year-old Leoni previously played for Padova and Sampdoria after participating in the 2024 offseason before being impressed by Palma. He is under 19 Italy.
“The club has agreed to the deal, but he hasn’t signed it for us yet,” Slot said of Leoni.
Slot was more cautious in Guehi’s possible contract, which remains for a year in the palace contract. He didn’t specifically mention the player’s names, but said, “Unfortunately he was the captain of the team we lost last Sunday.”
“If you want to talk about him, you should go to the Palace and (Oliver Manager) Glasner and hear his opinion on it,” Slot said at a press conference ahead of Liverpool’s first match. Premier League Title defense at his home in Bournemouth on Friday.
