MADRID (AP) – Real Madrid signed a six-year contract with Argentine teenage forward Franco Mustantouno on Thursday.
The former Riverplate player, who turned 18 on Thursday, received medical care and signed a contract with Madrid President Florentino Perez.
“I promise to give you everything I have for this shirt,” Mustantouno said. “It’s always been my dream to play for the best club in the world.”
Madrid had already reached a deal for his signature, but had to wait until he was 18.
Mastantuono was presented with a replica model of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, a watch, his name and a jersey number 30.
This offseason, Madrid also signed to Britain with Young Spanish Central Defender Dean Huisen Soon Trent Alexander Arnold.
Madrid is in its first season Director Xabi Alonsoreplaced Carlo Ancelotti. After a disappointing season by high standards, they lost Barcelona’s Spanish League title and were unable to reach the finals in the Club World Cup and Champions League. He also lost all four Clasicos against his Catalan rival.
It all led to a change in coaching: Ancelotti took over Brazil, Former player Alonso Arrived as widely expected.
