MANSHETER, England (AP) — Manchester City midfielder Rodri could be on the sidelines at the start of the Premier League season as injuries continued. Club World Cupsaid manager Pep Guardiola.

City, which struggled without a mainstay mid-season mid-season, will hold a 2025-26 campaign with Wolves next Saturday. They also play Tottenham and Brighton before the international break in September.
Guardiola said Rodri could be “played for a few minutes” before the break.
Phil Foden will not travel to Palermo
City will have a friendly match with Palermo in Sicily on Saturday. Phil Foden was among those who weren’t travelling.
“Phil was doing really good things, but he had problems knocking on his ankle, so we did that as a precaution,” Guardiola said.
The midfielders will be ready for the season opener, the manager said.
