MONACO (AP) — Monaco signed veteran Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Lukasz Hadeckie on a two-year deal on Friday.
Monaco said the deal includes extra year options. Although no transfer fees have been made public, French Sports Daily L’Equipe said Monaco paid 2.5 million euros ($2.9 million) and an additional 1 million euros with the final bonus.
Born in Slovakia, Finn, 35, has extensive experience after playing for 10 years in the Bundesliga in Germany, first for Entracht Frankfurt and then for Lebaxen.
He won the league and German Cup doubles at Leverkusen two seasons ago. Not only do you set a record Most Bundesliga appearances By foreign goalkeepers, he played 101 times for Finland.
Monaco was hampered by a goalkeeping inconsistency last season, and neither Radoslaw Majecchi nor Philip Kane were able to hold back from No. 1.
