Seville, Spain (AP) – Four people arrested for their suspected roles May 10th Attack on Sevilla’s training facility Following the football team’s defeat to Celta Vigo.
Players stayed overnight at the complex due to security concerns created by a large group of fans who forced them towards the training grounds at Josera Moncis Neros Palacios.
Supporters, whose faces were hidden by many, broke the metal gate at the entrance to the car to the training ground, causing damage to the inside of the property. The club had denounced what was called “organized vandalism.”
Sevilla, who barely avoided relegation last season, lost 3-2 at Vigo after the team bus arrived on the premises, causing violence to begin.
Spanish Sports Daily Marca reported on Friday that the National Police made four arrests and an investigation is underway. There was no other information regarding the identity, claim, or court date.
