London (AP) – Club World Cup Champion Chelsea Ajax Dutch defender Jorrel Hato has completed the signing of Ajax’s Dutch defender, Jorrel Hato, in a reported transaction worth £37 million ($49 million).
The 19-year-old pigeon, who concluded his country six times, signed a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
He will be the eighth signature of the Blues’ summer transfer window.
“I’m very excited,” said the pigeon, which can operate in the central defense or in the left rear. He spoke to the Premier League Club website.
“I was thinking a lot about my future and wanted to take the next step in my career. Chelsea is the perfect place for me to do that, so I’m very happy.”
Hato joined the Ajax academy from his hometown club Sparta Rotterdam in 2018, and four years later, he signed his first professional contract at the age of 16.
He scored four goals in 111 appearances for the Eredy Busy team, and his international debut was replaced by a 6-0 victory over Gibraltar in November 2023.
Chelsea will begin their Premier League season on August 17th at their Crystal Palace home.
