The Oasis reunion really makes Guardiola emotional as Manchester City prepares for the Premier League season

tHe transcends music to the reunion of the Gallagher brothers. It’s a cultural moment that builds connections. To Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his 24-year-old daughter Mara, Oasis offers a powerful, shared musical connection. This was vividly shown when he saw former Barcelona and Bayern coaches singing along with Mara. After a bitter feud of 16 years following the initial split in 2009, the band’s revival warms “No look back at anger.”

Oasis, formed in 1991 by famous brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, was the Titan of British pop culture in the 1990s. The influence that defines the era of record-breaking sales, inspiring concerts, highly public brother conflicts, and legendary chart battles with Britpop rivals. Marking its first live performance since 2009, the official “Oasis Live ’25” tour promises a monumental return. The first foot focuses on the UK and Ireland, and will take place on July 4th at the Principal Stadium in Cardiff. The band will play multiple nights at iconic venues such as Heaton Park in Manchester and Wembley Stadium in London, as well as checking dates in Edinburgh and Dublin.

Following the UK and Ireland dates, the Oasis reunion spreads throughout the Atlantic. The massive North American leg includes major shows from stadiums in cities such as Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford (New Jersey), Los Angeles and Mexico City, bringing the iconic sound back to fans who have been waiting for more than a decade at this moment.

The new Premier League campaign is dawn

Meanwhile, the world of soccer is prepared for its own important events. The 2025-26 Premier League season is scheduled to begin on Friday, August 15th. Defending champion Liverpool will host Bournemouth at Anfield, while Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will face an early weekend trip to Wolverhampton.

This season marks Manchester City’s 29th consecutive campaign in the Premier League. They will soon pursue their ninth top flight title since the league’s rebranding in 1992.
