Thomas Frank made it difficult to beat Tottenham – and as the season entered the second international break, they left in the courttails of their bitter rivals Arsenal

I whisper, but Tottenham supporters have a specific Ange Postecoglou to thank their team for the thick of their early title races.
That’s because it was a big Angel who handed the Spurs as his farewell gift in the Champions League. With the Europa League victory, Tottenham sat at the top table of club football and booked it.
And new manager Thomas Frank allowed him to sign players from his real class in the form of Zabi Simons, Mohammed Kudus and Joa Parchinya. It was the quality and adventures of Simons and Kudos that helped Tottenham secure an impressive victory at Elland Road.
Kudos is beginning to meet all expectations by scoring his first goal following a £55 million move from West Ham.

However, Tottenham came third at the table, with two points from the leader and bitter rival Arsenal dependent on the character rather than creativity.
No one has more expectations on his shoulders than Frank. He arrived in Tottenham and had a reputation as one of the best managers in the business.
The pressure to throw in the fact that he took over someone who ended the club’s long-standing silverware and bring Tottenham to another level is enormous.
However, just two months after the new season, Frank appears to have driven his team away from its soft abdomen. I saw them rolling and tickling their tummy last season in a 22-league defeat.
The regular combination of centre-backs Mickey Van Deben and Christian Romero has made Tottenham the backbone again.
Frank’s men on the spine were needed as Leeds pushed the equalizer towards the end of a pleasant crash on Elland Road. However, Tottenham scored three points rather than one at a time for London, becoming the first team to win Leeds for over 12 months.
Tottenham has spent too long putting styles before matter. Tottenham has only admitted one goal in the opening five games of the season, losing once in every tournament.
Frank has proven he’s been a great dane so far. He appreciated how football should be played and built an attractive side at Brentford.
But he also knows that while the forwards win, the defense will win a big title. It’s too early to believe that Tottenham can do something they can’t think of and win the Premier League this season.
But it’s certainly fun to see them looking straight at Arsenal.
