“I think we started out pretty bad,” he said. “We did pretty well in the game, I think we came out late and really gave it everything to get the results.
“In the end, it’s obviously difficult at that very last minute. Just as winning this way is the best feeling, I think it’s the worst to lose this kind of way.
“We created enough opportunities to score, but today it wasn’t enough. We need to keep working hard, bounce back and get back to winning.
“I think the belief that we can do is something we can do.
Isaac was given his second Premier League start with Liverpool against Chelsea and founded the Cody Gappo leveler as he continues to regain match sharpness following the smashed preseason at previous club Newcastle United.
Swedish International has admitted that he has not yet reached peak conditions, but remains optimistic about his upcoming campaign as he has provided insight into his progress.
“It feels good. I’ve worked so hard to do my best,” he told LFC TV after his final whi. “I still work to get back to my best form, but it was good to play again today.
“I wanted a different outcome, but we continue to work and I am very excited for the whole season that follows.
“Each game, if you want to achieve what you want to do, you need to improve, but (I’m) really excited.”
