Louis Diaz sent a clear message to his old Club Liverpool with Bayern Munich’s latest performance. Columbia International left Anfield during the summer transfer period and joined the Bundesliga Titans.
After much speculation, Liverpool ultimately agreed to a £65.5 million deal for Diaz to make his move to Bayern. Diaz helped secure the Reds’ Premier League title last season before deciding to join the new club.
Liverpool first signed Diaz from Porto in January 2022, spending three and a half years at Anfield, winning four major trophies along the way. Diaz scored 41 goals in 148 appearances for the Reds before deciding to move to Germany in the summer.

Since leaving Merseyside, Diaz has gotten off to a strong start in Germany, scoring six goals and providing four assists to the dominant Bundesliga champion. The 28-year-old scored twice for Bayern in the Bundesliga on Saturday in a 3-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.
Diaz’s first goal was just 14 seconds into the match, and his second inning was scored in the 84th minute. Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane also found the back of Bayern’s net against Frankfurt.
After the match, Diaz went to Instagram to share his message after playing a pivotal role in Bayern’s victory, Liverpool Echo reports.
The former Liverpool ace shared a photo of herself celebrating the goal originally posted by the official Bayern account, and a caption featuring Lightning Bolt and Red Love Heart.
Bayern’s Diaz coincided with Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League, recording third consecutive losses in all competitions after previous defeats to Crystal Palace and Galatasaray.
Arne Slot’s team has struggled to replicate the offensive fluidity they displayed last season after a significant team overhaul during the summer transfer period.
The Reds currently occupies the second spot in the league table, kicking out league leader Arsenal by just one point as we head for an international break.
Liverpool’s next match will be seen facing Manchester United two weeks later after the October international break ends.
