Bukayosaka reveals cruelly honest Thierry Henry text message before West Ham wins

Buka Yosaka received a message from Thierry Henry on the morning of Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over West Ham as the winger followed in the footsteps of the Gunners Legends.

Thierry Henry texted Bukayo Saka on the morning of Arsenal’s clash with West Ham, reminding them of their poor outcomes against their rivals. Winger had a clear desired effect as he was the second gunner player to score in his 200th appearance, comparable to the impressive milestones his hero set.

The England star scored a net from the penalty spot after Julien Timber was fouled and scored three points on the North London side after Declan Rice opened up a score against his previous club. Their victory drove Arsenal to the top of the table as Liverpool slipped into Chelsea later that day.

Mikel Arteta’s team lost two previous home matches with London rivals without scoring, but this time they were able to secure a more positive outcome. When asked about comparable to Henry’s milestone, Saka spoke about the continued impact that the club icon had on him.

He explained: “This morning, Thierry sent me a message to remind me that I lost my last two games to West Ham at home, and he always pushes me.

The 24-year-old was delighted that Arsenal had demonstrated the term. He added: “It showed the progress we made.

“The last two seasons I slid home against West Ham, so I wanted to get it right today. I know the quality that’s on the pitch. I know if I hold a clean sheet or not, I know there’s a good chance I’ll win the game.”

Arsenal Gaffer Arteta praised his team’s star player after the victory. He said: “It was an incredible journey together. The way he did it is special. He is loved by everyone, and the numbers he is creating are incredible at his age – there is a lot to come from him.”

Arteta was also pleased to see his team reach the top of the Premier League. The Spaniard said:

“We dominated to win this and deserved it perfectly, we had a big, big opportunity that we didn’t clean up.

As Arsenal holds the top spot at the Premier League table, Chelsea won defending champion Liverpool 2-1 in their home soil. Moises Caiceceo opened up the Blues’ score with a fierce strike from the edge of the box 14 minutes later.

The Reds left Stamford Bridge, which was lost last weekend to Crystal Palace and 1-0 to Galata Salei in the Champions League on Tuesday, leaving Stamford Bridge, which was defeated three times in a row after Young Sensation’s Estebao stole a Chelsea game five minutes later.
