Altai Bayindeal stayed well despite being xed by Reuben Amorim after Manchester United ordered Sunderland 2-0. The 27-year-old nodded to United’s past six Premier League encounters. Three of these came after Senne Lanmens arrived from Royal Antwerp on a potential contract worth £21.6 million.
However, the Turkish Keeper struggled to persuade his qualification Amorim as the trustworthy No. 1. Runmen was handed his Maiden start between the sticks for a match against Sunderland on Saturday. The young Belgian not only secured clean sheets, but also delivered displays that were far more convincing than they managed this campaign.
Lammens garnered praise from Old Trafford Faithful and his manager after the match. But this doesn’t seem to be the situation.
On Instagram, Turkish International responded to United’s victory by sharing their final score along with Red Heart and winding emojis.
Bay Indeal was also found accepting the lambmen on the grass after the last whi.
Amorim explained that before kickoff, his choice to put Bay Indeal aside was purely about squad rotation.
“Everyone needs to be ready to play,” the United boss emphasized. “We need to win this game. All opponents are different, so we try to find the best traits to win every match.”
Looking back on Lammens’ debut, Amorim told BBC Sport:
Mason Mount, who scored United’s opening goal before Benjamin Sesco doubled the lead, also praised his new colleague.
“He was solid. When we were under pressure, the option was Ben (Sesco) and we did it all over,” he said.
“It was bustling for him, and everyone was around him today. It could be hard to make your first start. We wanted to be together and we felt that today, so we’ll continue to move forward.”
