Manchester United host Sunderland is Sunderland at Old Trafford later today, and fire manager Ruben Amorim will be desperate for positive outcomes in Quieten’s speculation about his future
Another week, and another must-see game for Manchester United and Reuben Amorim. The victory over Chelsea at the end of September hinted at United turning the corner – instead, they walked straight to the onslaught of Brentford.
The defeat in the capital put pressure on Amorim, leaving the Maroonsed Red Devils in the lower half. He has not yet reached anniversary at Old Trafford, but the vulture is spinning.
Portugal’s Premier League record apologises for the inconvenience: 33 games, just nine wins, and a disappointing 17 losses. United bosses claim they are still back in Amorim, but if that loss line increases that weekend, a decision could be forced.
Newly promoted Sunderland is a visitor this weekend after a great start to the new season. They head to Old Trafford, who is confident that they can prolong misery.

Amorim firmly supported his methods and suggested that he rather change once he quit. But can you really put pressure on it and finally see some changes?
The mirror football writer has made a comment on how United should line up today, and whether Amorim will blink for the first time.
Ben’s
This is not something Amorim actually thinks he’s going to go, I’m starting to say that this is what I do. Perhaps he has lived with a 3-4-2-1 sword…and will die by it.
But why do you wonder? Newly promoted team – in good shape, but at home it seems as good as ripping it all.
I’ll go 4-2-3-1 and finally make sure your best players play in the best position. First of all, I am finishing the goals of the Altay Bayindir Experiment, Senne Lammens.
Then there were four of Diogo Dalot, Mathijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro and Patrick Dorgu. And in the middle, let’s swallow your pride and start Cobby Mine… there’s no way he can’t improve what we saw. He can start next to Casemiro to add a solid base, with Bruno Fernandes joining Matheus Cunha on the left, Bryan Mbeumo on the right and Benjamin Sesko on the right. It may not work, but at least he tried it.
Ben’s Man Utd Xi (4-2-3-1): LAMMES; Dalot, de Ligt, Yoro, Dorgu; Mainoo, Casemiro; Cunha, Fernandes, Mbeumo; SESKO..
Feric Skies
We all know that Reuben Amorim is not trying to abandon his formation, so I was in charge, so a bit of pragmatism would be the order of the day. What’s obvious to me is that United need to get the best player in his best position.
This means not going back further and wasting Bruno Fernandez, but calming down in the No. 10 position. Benjamin Sesco can leave the bench as an impact sub, with Mateus Cunha and Brian Mbeumo cut from the sides and spinning to the center position when Fernandez opens up space.
Midfield balance is the biggest issue where addressing is required, but how? Casemiro’s lack of mobility is visible to everyone, but Nous, who played him along with Kobbie Mainoo and (maybe) won the ball, begins to shine.
Amado is back from a caring holiday and can overlap the Mbeumo on the right. Matthijs de Ligt is terrifying against Brentford, so he gives way to Leny Yoro, and Senne Lammens makes his debut as Altay Bayindir did nothing to persuade him with the goal.
Felix’s Man Utd Xi (3-4-3): Lammens; Yoro, Maguire, Shaw. Amad, Casemiro, Mainoo, Dorgu; Fernandez, Mbeumo, Cunha.
Dan Marsh
Here he plays the devil’s supporter. Manchester United were poor against Brentford, but have seen signs of life during some of their other performances, especially at the beginning of the season. He has already made it clear that he is not to advance the formation discussion, so I will stick to the same form.
The middle part is a problem for me. Bruno Fernandez is wasted in a deeper role, so I play him where he thrives: one of the dual number 10 roles. A space for Keshemiro is opened with Casey Maine in the engine compartment, and Fernandez licenses grant him a license to pull the strings along with Mashueus Cunha. Brian Mbemo is the most eye-catching United’s summer signature, and can play in the center, so he nods right in front of Benjamin Sesco.
At goal, it’s now as good as the bloody Senne Lammen and I’ll take Renee Yolo to the back three.
Dan’s Man Utd Xi (3-4-3): Lammens; Yoro, Maguire, Shaw. Dalot, Casemiro, Mainoo, Dorgu; Fernandez, cunha, mbeumo.
