Arsenal will face London rival West Ham United at Emirates Stadium this weekend, but there are some concerns that Mikel Arteta will navigate before the match, including defender Gabriel
Arsenal star Gabriel will be eligible for the Fitness Lateness Test this weekend despite alleviating his fear of long-term injuries. The Brazilian defender gave the gunner boss a new concern mid-week.
He was retreated against Olympiacos after a nasty clash with his teammate David Raya. Ahead of the clash with West Ham this weekend, Arteta revealed that Gabriel’s problem isn’t too serious, but he’ll be delaying whether he’s able to play.
Meanwhile, he also confirmed that the Summer Signatures Piero Hincapie and Noni Maduce signatures remained excluded alongside long-term absentees Kai Herberts and Gabriel Jesus.
“We have to wait (with Gabriel) after training. We have to see how everyone is going, but we’re not too worried about him,” he said at a pre-game press conference.
“(Piero Hincapie) will be available after an international break. The game was too fast. Kai (Havertz), Noni (Maduke) and Gabi (Yes) are the same.”

Providing more information about Hincapie, Arteta added: “We’re trying to do everything as fast as possible (to get him fit), but this game has gotten too fast. Now we’re taking an international break.
One of the competitors is Winger Bukayo Saka. The winger has been increasing minutes in recent weeks and has been a surprising name for Thomas Touchel’s latest England team.
When asked if he spoke to the free agency, Arteta said, “It’s not yet, but we always talk about Thomas and me.

Saka joins Arsenal teammate Miles Lewis Skelly in the three Lions camp. The defender is a bit more of a surprise inclusion, and we’ve seen his opportunities in recent weeks be limited.
Regarding the decision, Arteta added:
“Miles probably doesn’t play as many minutes as he liked, but he’s a pro in the way he’s involved with his team and he gives you the chance to count on him.”
