Jude Bellingham was a famous omission from the English team for this month’s international doubleheader.
Thomas Touchel instinctively attacked Jude Bellingham – and claimed there was “100% no” that he would get a recall before the World Cup.
Tuchel even hinted that England could win the World Cup without a star player after responsive to Wales and Latvia by bringing the Real Madrid star out of the team. Not making a cut was a big shock for Bellingham, but after summer shoulder surgery he comes behind the 22-year-old, who only started one game for Real Madrid.
But Touchel spelled out very clearly that he had ruled out Bellingham based on his football decision, especially as he wanted to stick with the players who helped him win 5-0 in England last month. The three Lions bosses said: “There is no 100% guarantee, we build the best team.

“He’s a very special player and there are always special rules for special players. I get this. But for this camp we decided to stick to the simple decision to invite the same team, which applies to Jude.
“I think there’s an extra layer above that, he’s not yet able to gather a perfect rhythm at Real Madrid.
“Listen, do you think we’re a strong team with Jude? Yes. Is he one of the best players in the world in the middle? Yes.
Tuchel even rilled the question of the best teams need the most creative players and Liverpool bringing Mo Salah straight back no matter what.
“Do you have any evidence?” I asked Tuchel. “Okay, but it is Liverpool, it is not us.
“Because many people understand this decision, so why don’t we stick to the same team that we had the best camp, the best performance we’ve ever had?!”
