Thomas Tuschel has appointed his England team for future supplies against Wales and Latvia. Jude Bellingham was widely expected to return to the group after missing final round supplies due to injuries. However, the Real Madrid midfielder is one of three famous players who were omitted with a surprising twist.
Phil Foden was also removed from the team, in addition to Jack Grelish, who is frustrated at his impressive form at Everton. The Lone On Lawn Manchester City winger began his flying start at Merseyside and provided four assists in his first six Premier League games. Despite these numbers, he was unable to score a place with the England team.
Reuben Loftus Cheek maintained his position last month after being called to replace Adam Wharton.
Tuchel said: “It was only three weeks since their last camp and last performance. The question is, why didn’t they bring in the same group because they set the standard?
“Now it’s about making habits. Unfortunately, I’ve had two injuries at Tino (Libramento) and Noni (Maduce) and of course I took Bukayosaka to replace Noni.
Jordan Pickford, Dean Henderson and James Trafford are goalkeepers, with Dan Byrne, Mark Guech, Reese James and Ezri Consa among the defenders.
Miles Lewis Skelly and John Stones were also selected, but DJed Spence has maintained his spot after becoming the first Muslim to play in England last month.
In the middle, Elliot Anderson, Morgan Gibbs White, Jordan Henderson, Declan Rice and Morgan Rogers joined Loftus Cheek on the team.
Saka has returned among the attackers to replace the injured Madueke, including Jarrod Bowen, Ebebeki Eze, Anthony Gordon, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford and Ollie Watkins.
