Dominik Szoboszlai has admitted an early penalty in Liverpool’s Champions League clash with commentators Alan Shearer and Ex-Ref Mark Clattenburg with Galatasaray.
Liverpool could not be frustrated about admitting an early penalty in a Champions League clash with Galatasaray, according to both Alan Shearer and Mark Krattenburg. The Reds were late early in Istanbul after Victor Osimhen netted a 16-minute spot kick.
The penalty was awarded by referee Clement Turpin after right-back Dominique Soboschlei caught Barris Alper Irmaz in the face with his subsequent arm as he tried to challenge Turkish International in the box.
Osimhen stepped up to score a penalty to give his team a lead, and both Premier League legend Shearer and former official Krattenberg agreed that Turpin had made the right decision.
“That’s exactly that arm, right?” Shearer said of Amazon Prime’s joint duties. “It catches him and just invites him. It catches him and the judges have a really, really good view.”
Krattenberg agreed, “I agree with Alan. Once he entered to challenge him, his subsequent arms caught him in the face, which was a simple decision from a well-positioned referee.”

Osimen’s penalty came to a moment after Liverpool missed a 1-1 chance to open up a goal.
Arne Slot had urged the headline ahead of kickoff when he made the surprising decision to bench Mohamed Salah to the Turks.
“Jeremy isn’t playing as the right fullback so he’s playing on the right field,” slot confirmed before kickoff. “We have a lot of games, and in a few days we have another big game.
“We have to use our teams. Using them doesn’t always mean from the start. Players can enter too. A lot of our games have influenced the games that players come out of the bench.
“They were talking last, so Mo scored three points from the bench with the Rangers, and we know that the Rangers manager was the manager at the time!
“But that’s not the reason (why Sarah is on the bench), and that’s an example of luxury that probably has other options.
“We’re coming and going with Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike. And in the middle, we made some changes as the preseason for the Mac Allister was so poor, it’s poor in terms of missing out on a lot of training time.
“If you then play every three days, you can’t expect from the Alexander or Mac Allister if you’re able to use it for 90 minutes every three days.
“Alexander Isaac didn’t train before the season. Mac Alistair missed many of the preseasons. Connor Bradley missed many of the preseasons. Milos Karques doesn’t play three times a week at Bournemouth.
“All of this is because I think we have to spin a little bit, why do we have players who can play games like this.”
