William Saliba is writing a new contract with Arsenal and will keep him at the club until 2030 after the French defender was eligible for a transfer from Real Madrid.
Arsenal confirmed that William Saliba has signed a new five-year contract to keep him at the club until 2030.
It’s a huge boost for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta as the gunners have been tying one of Europe’s best defenders in the long run. They intrigued by Real Madrid, who was hovering when Saliba entered the final two years of his Arsenal contract with the Emirates.
Real Madrid has launched a campaign to publicly bring France International to court. However, Saliba, 24, surrendered to Arsenal as the club attempted to win a major trophy under Arteta.
“William is loved by all his players and staff, and it speaks volumes every day about his personality, commitment and attitude,” Arteta said. “Since joining us, William has grown enormously, embraced responsibility and has built strong connections with our supporters and everyone in the club.

Saliba has revealed in the past that he had an Arsenal shirt as a child and grew up watching gunners like Tarley Henry and hosts of their French stars. Arsenal sports director Andrea Berta has been at the heart of purges for his new contract since he took charge last summer.
They were able to get Gabriel, one of the top defensive partnerships with Europe’s Saliba, to sign the deal. Arsenal also has Miles Lewis Skelly and Ethan Nuwaneri on long-term contracts, with Bukayosaka being their next target.
Saka, 24, was also the last two years of his contract, and Miller Football reported that his speech with Arsenal, who is confident that the English star would also commit himself. Saka also made public by saying he wanted to commit to the club and enjoy success with the Emirates.
Arsenal missed the title and finished runner-up for the third year in a row, but getting the biggest player in the New Deal is a big boost as Arteta clearly convinced him about his plans.
However, Arteta claims that Arsenal is now being mixed for the biggest trophy as he prepares to face the Olympiacos in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
