Gabriel claimed he had been pushed, but it was embarrassing that he fell so easily. Newcastle loved it. Fans have become wild and begin to untie Arteta.
Mosquera was hooked at halftime. Julientimber was denied by the Pope in another incredible save and you began to wonder how Arsenal wanted to lose the game on Earth.
But then they dug deep. As the clock was ticking and Newcastle clinged, Arsenal worked in a short corner, Declan Rice whipped over the cross, and Merino glanced at the far post.
One point has been saved. They were scared when the ball hit Gabriel’s arm, but this time Val saved them. I still had time to get all three.
Arsenal’s alternative, Martin Odegard, floated from the right to the corner, with Gabriel in a nearby post, defeating the giant Dan Byrne and sending travel fans wild.
