Zinedine Zidane links to Manchester United’s work as Reuben Amorim continues to face pressure, but the French have two requests before they can play their roles
Former French star Emmanuel Petit previously suggested that certain conditions must be met before Zinedine Zidane considers taking the reins at Manchester United. The name of Gaffer, who won the Champions League, was thrown into the hat as a potential replacement for Reuben Amorim as the pressure continued to grow.
United were unable to secure back-to-back wins and were unable to take advantage of their recent victory over Chelsea, with Brentford appearing on Saturday as the 3-1 winner. The brace from Igor Thiago in the first half visited a steep hill to climb after his start in West London.
Benjamin Sesco set the club’s debut goal to take one back before Bruno Fernandez missed out on his best chance to equalize from the penalty spot with just 15 minutes left.

Matthias Jensen signed a deep contract during the time of his injury, adding to the problems with United fans traveling.
The defeat left the suffering with seven points in 14th place as Keith Andrews’ team jumped over them after their victory.
Amorim faces rumors about his future at the club after failing to correct his inconsistent performance. This has led to speculation that it will link Zidane to the role, but if a decision is made, the former Real Madrid boss must be seduced from his hiatus.
Zidane has not been seen in the dugout since 2021 after saying his second goodbye to Los Blancos. According to Petit, as he is one of his former teammates, certain demands must be met for this to happen.
“To be honest, I know a bit, Zizou (Zidane), and if he wants to sign there at Manchester United, he needs to get a guarantee,” Petit said in 2024, according to Manchester Evening News.
“At this point, Manchester United’s environment hasn’t been good for years. The club’s expectations are not the same as before, either, and the stability of the bench, the level of players.
“United is still a huge club, but it’s not on the pitch anymore. And Zizou is very conscious and very careful about it.
“Can he reverse the situation there? I think the only answer is yes. But at this point, when you look at the team, I’m not at all sure about the level of some players.

“So if I’m Zizou, I think it’s actually very easy to answer this question (to join United). If you don’t speak English on top of that, it’s going to be a lot more of a problem in terms of communication in the dressing room.
“If he gets a job at Manchester United, that means he has a solution. At this point, I don’t know if many people have a solution that will change the situation for Manchester United.
“Does he want to leave a sunny day in Madrid? His life is in Madrid and he is dedicated to Madrid.
“I don’t know if he speaks very good English or not. And communication is very important in the dressing room.”
