Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez saw the red with a big blow from the blues against Manchester United. Bruce knows there will be an opportunity to rekindle the pursuit of AC Milan’s Mike Maignan.

The Spanish Keeper will only sit in his Carabao Cup tie with the city of Lincoln on Tuesday, but the incident could serve as an incentive to return to the transfer market for the new shot stopper, following summer interest in Meignan.
Bruce first showed interest in June, but Milan was not keen to let go of French international. They slapped a £25 million price tag at age 30, but Chelsea didn’t seem to be in a hurry to seal the deal.
Chelsea were believed to be happy with the goalkeeping options from Sanchez and Philip Jorgensen.
However, once Maignan’s contract at San Silo expires next year, he will be free to discuss his pre-contract agreement with non-Italian clubs starting in January.
Chelsea were able to steal the rival march by securing a deal now and snap the players with a free transfer at the end of the season.
Mareska is said to be a fan of Maignan and reportedly believes he is a perfect fit for his tactical game plan.
Earlier this month, it was reported that the appointment of Masimiliano Alegri played a pivotal role in persuading Maignan to stay in Milan in the summer.
The new Gaffer immediately confirmed that Maignan would maintain the captain’s armband, and emphasized that he would retain the goalkeeper as a key factor in his decision to helm.
However, it is said that there hasn’t been a step forward in a new contract to keep Meignan in Italy, giving Chelsea the opportunity to rekindle their pursuit.
