Manchester United continued to maintain a record of not losing to Chelsea at Old Trafford in their post-Alex Ferguson days after beating the Blues on Saturday night. It was a morale-boosting victory for Reuben Amorim, the latest Red Devils boss to beat the West Londoners.

Lukeshaw told Sky Sports: “We talked a lot about winning before the game. That was the most important thing today. We wanted to win. The whole team really protected us well. We are happy with three points.
He also said, “The season is still early and we’ve done well this season so far. We’re fine. What’s most important to us is how clinical we are and how we can protect the box.”
Ferguson’s tenure is the benchmark for Old Trafford’s manager and the last man Scots to win a Premier League title. He did so a few weeks before he brought time to a business career – and the club hasn’t replicated its success.
United have only finished twice since leaving the dugout – and in either case they were unable to properly challenge the champions. Mourinho and Solskier are the only guys who will take the Red Devils to the runner-up location.
